Bobby Ray Parks Jr. saw limited action for the Dallas Mavericks in the 2015 NBA Summer League early Sunday morning (Manila time) at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Parks was inserted into the game against the New Orleans Pelicans early in the second quarter and played for three minutes and 19 seconds. He had a foul and a turnover during his brief stint.
After the game, Parks thanked his supporters especially those who stayed up in the middle of the night until early morning just to watch him play via live stream.
“Salamat sa lahat ng sumuporta sakin, lalo na madaling araw sa pinas! #GanonTalagaEh #ParaSaBayan,” (Thank you to everyone who supported me even though it’s dawn in the Philippines.) Parks posted on his Twitter account following the Mavericks’ 90-86 loss to the Pelicans.
The 22-year-old Parks was invited by the Mavericks to join their Summer League roster after going undrafted in the recent NBA Draft in June.
Dallas’ lineup includes Satnam Singh, who is the first Indian-born player drafted after the Mavericks selected him at No. 52.
The Mavericks will be back in action on Monday against the Portland Trailblazers.
