Alaska’s Romeo Travis bagged the Best Import of the Conference award before Game 2 of the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals between the Aces and the Beermen Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The 30-year-old Travis averaged 24 points, 12.9 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.2 blocks per game through the semifinals. He was also efficient shooting 52% from the field and 80% from the free throw line.
Travis, a childhood friend and high school teammate of two-time NBA champion LeBron James, helped the Aces secure the top spot at the end of the elimination round.

Travis edged Beermen’s Arizona Reid, who was denied of a third Best Import plum.
Meanwhile, San Miguel Beer’s center June Mar Fajardo won his third Best Player of the Conference award.
The 29-year-old Reid averaged 28.2 points, 10.4 rebounds 5.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game through the semifinals. He won the award in the 2011 and 2014 Governors’ Cup. Reid outplayed Travis in the Finals opener where he had 32 points, six rebounds and seven assists. CFC
