Last-bout Floyd resumes training
NO opponent has been named yet, but Floyd Mayweather Jr. is back in the gym to fine-tune his body for what’s supposed to be his final bout on Sept. 12.
“Training camp has started,” Mayweather posted on Instagram yesterday. “Go get my @shots app for exclusive 10-second videos leading up to my fight on September 12. www.shots.com/app.”
The unbeaten Mayweather, who claimed eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao as his 48th victim in their megabuck welterweight bout on May 2 in Las Vegas, is on his sixth and last fight in a lucrative deal with Showtime.

Though the 38-year-old Mayweather has announced his retirement after the Sept. 12 bout, the prospect of more money may yet entice him to accept a rematch with Pacquiao—who is still recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right rotator cuff—early next year. Roy Luarca
