Arguably the league’s most dominating big man of his era, June Mar Fajardo has a dream that matches his size.

“I’m hoping for my second title,” Fajardo said after his San Miguel Beermen put down the Alaska Aces 96-89 Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Fajardo has the 2014 Philippine Cup under his belt after he and the Beermen came away victorious against the Aces in a thrilling seven-game series.

Poised to win his second straight MVP title, Fajardo does not think much about the individual honor, rather he wants the silverware his team’s dreaming off.

“If I win the MVP then it’s fine but all I really want is the title,” Fajardo said after putting up 14 points and grabbing 19 rebounds.

Still, Fajardo does not discount Alaska whom he is too wary of because of the team’s ability to comeback despite facing huge deficits.

Alaska has won 13 games when it fell by double-digit margins.

So don’t blame the big guy if he thinks it’s the Beermen’s backs that are against the wall.

“It’s a do-or-die for us,” Fajardo said. “Even if we’re up 3-0 Alaska can still comeback.”

“We’ll celebrate when we’re done.”
