Aching to continue his strong showing in the Las Vegas Summer League, Bobby Ray Parks unceremoniously ended his Dallas stint as the Mavericks fell to Atlanta Hawks, 91-83, on Saturday (Sunday Manila time) at Thomas and Mack Center.
The two-time UAAP MVP finished with four points, three rebounds, and one block in 14:04 minutes of action as the Mavs got the boot in the quarterfinals.
Parks was on a high after having good showing in Dallas’ last three games, capped off by his superb outing against the D-League Select Team in the second round, where the second-generation player had 10 points, five rebounds, four steals, and one assist.
However, he could not follow it up in this game, struggling to find his rhythm in the first half before scoring his two field goals near the end of the third quarter.
Another Fil-Am in Stephen Holt also played in the game, this time for Atlanta. He finished with five points, two rebounds, and three steals in 28 minutes of play.
Glenn Robinson III led the Hawks with 20 points, as they advance to the semifinals against the San Antonio Spurs.
