Ababa eyes followup win

/ 12:30 AM July 21, 2015

Sarah Ababa, on the heels of a breakthrough pro triumph, carries the fight for the Philippines when the P500,000 ICTSI Luisita Ladies Championship tees off Wednesday in Tarlac, Tarlac.

With top guns Cyna Rodriguez and Chihiro Ikeda vying in a tournament overseas, the focus will be on Ababa as she shoots for a second straight win after besting the two and a slew of foreigners at Sherwood Hills.

Four crack Thais, including local resident Amolkan Phalajivin, will be gunning for the title in the 54-hole event where Jayvie Agojo will also be trying to win for the first time in two years as a followup to her win at Riviera.

Chamchoi Saraporn is the other notable Thai in the lean roster. Saraporn has had two runner-up finishes on tour.
