Hammon steers Spurs to NBA Summer League title
A sign of things to come?
The San Antonio Spurs claimed the 2015 NBA Summer League title in Las Vegas, slipping past Phoenix Suns, 93-90 on Monday (Tuesday Manila time).

It was a rousing debut for coach Becky Hammon, the San Antonio Silver Stars legend who was tasked by coach Gregg Popovich to handle the reins in the offseason.
And it proved to be fruitful as the former WNBA star anchored her summer league team to the championship just as the Spurs are expected to contend for the Larry O’ Brien trophy next season.

It was the bench guys who made the difference for the Spurs in the title game.
Jonathan Simmons led the Spurs with 23 points, while Treveon Graham also had 22 markers in the win.
Summer League MVP Kyle Anderson captained the champs with an all-around effort of 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists and no turnovers. CFC
