FEU nails first win in Spikers’ Turf

Far Eastern University finally scored its first win in Spikers’ Turf Season 1 Collegiate Conference, stopping University of the East in four sets, 19-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-18, Monday at San Juan Arena.

Overcoming a first set defeat, FEU coach Joseph Santos needed an all-around effort from his boys as the Tamaraws swept the next three sets.

Jeric Gacutan led FEU with 13 points, banking on 11 spikes and two service aces.

Gregorio Dolor also had 11 points, 10 coming from kills, while Peter Quiel dropped nine points.

It was too much for UE’s Edward Camposano, who finished the match with 19 points, as the Red Warriors fell to a third straight defeat. CFC
