Ateneo made quick work of University of the Philippines, 25-16, 25-14, 25-21, Monday to be the first team from Group B to enter the quarterfinals of the Spikers’ Turf Season 1 Collegiate Conference at San Juan Arena.
In a battle of the top two teams, it was the Blue Eagles who was left the undefeated team in Group B.

Marck Espejo led the attack with 14 points, steered by 10 spikes, two service aces, and two blocks, to lift Ateneo to its third win in as many matches.
Rex Intal added eight of his 10 points from kills, while Ysrael Marasigan added nine points, three coming from service aces.
Alfred Valbuena captained UP (2-1) with 11 points, eight coming from spikes. CFC
