Fiba 3×3: Doha squeaks past Ljubljana to enter semis

Doha eked out a 20-18 thriller against Ljubljana to advance to the semifinals of the 2015 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Manila Masters Sunday at Robinsons Ermita.

Sammy Monroe tallied seven points and came away with the game-saving steal to punch the Qataris ticket to the semifinals against Novi Sad Al Wahda. Dominic James also had six markers for Doha.

With a chance to win the game at the free throw line with 7.8 seconds left to play, Monroe split his charities which allowed Ljubljana to get the rebound. Unfortunately, Jasmin Hercegovac had an errant pass to Marko Savic, which was telegraphed by Monroe as the game came to a close.

Savic got nine points for Ljubljana as the Slovenians exited the tournament.
