Anything you say against Ronda Rousey will be used against you.
That was learned the hard way by her challenger Bethe Correia who was knocked out by Rousey in 34-seconds of the first round of their match during UFC 190 in Brazil on Sunday.
During the post-fight press conference, Rousey revealed that after rendering Correia unconscious in the UFC bantamweight title fight, she had a perfect drop the mic moment.
“I said the exact same thing she was saying to me during the weigh-ins,” Rousey said, recalling how Correia kept screaming “Don’t cry!” at her face during their weigh-in.
“So, I turned around after I knocked her out and said ‘Don’t cry’,” Rousey said.
Correia said that she didn’t have regrets after losing to “Rowdy.”
“I don’t regret anything. Everything I said was very sincere. It was my point of view and what I believed in. I think I did a great job. The event was wonderful. It wasn’t the result that I wanted, but I think everything that I said was something that I thought,” Correia said.
