UFC: Anderson Silva expects to be cleared of doping charges

The return of “The Spider”?

Anderson Silva expects just that as the longtime former UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) middleweight champ will face the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) next week and is expecting to be cleared of the doping charges which forced him to be suspended since late January.

In his UFC 183 win over Nick Diaz, Silva failed the pre-fight drug tests for anabolic steroids Drostanolone and Androstane, and even the post-fight test for Drostanolone plus sleeping and anti-anxiety medication.

But recently, a conflicting set of results of his post-fight test arose which could clear Silva of the doping charges.
 Due to the inconsistent results, Silva’s camp believes that he will soon be exonerated and will be allowed to return to the Octagon. AU
