CHARM, also known as the Malaysian Open competition which started more than a decade ago, is sanctioned by the International Cheer Union and is supported by the Asian Cheer Union. The Philippine Team grabbed the title as the Champion from the Cheer Aces of Malaysia, which was last year’s champion.

“We were already one of the early favorites when we arrived in Malaysia. Numerous Filipinos came out to support the Philippine Team (CCP). Organizers were surprised how the CCP Bobcats turned the venue as their home court. Much of our perseverance came from the Filipinos and the audience, in general, who cheered for us,” said Coach Arnold Villanueva.

The CCP Bobcats is the pride of the Central Colleges of the Philippines and has won numerous local and international competitions over the years. In the Philippines, CCP Bobcats has won the National Cheerleading Championships five times in the last 9 years.
