A Spanish Timberwolf is coming down to the tropical bliss of the Philippines.
Ricky Rubio, the whirling Catalan derby of the Minnesota Timberwolves, is set to visit the Philippines for his two-country tour.
Spain’s national point guard announced on Twitter he would be in the Philippines on Aug. 20 to 23 for the RR9 Tour before visiting Dubai on Aug. 24 to 28.
“Happy to announce that I will be on an International Tour this August visiting the Philippines and Dubai. #RR9TOUR,” Rubio posted on Twitter.
Rubio is on the forefront of the Timberwolves young core with reigning Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins and 2015 No. 1 overall pick Karl Anthony-Towns while learning under the tutelage of 2004 MVP Kevin Garnett.
Not only will Rubio be on a simple visit, but it’s a check mark on his bucket list to travel to the Philippines.
“Bucket list: visit Philippines!!” Rubio tweeted along with a check emoticon.
