Michael Martinez tops Bangkok figure skating tilt

Michael Martinez was the overall winner in the Senior Men category of the 2015 Asian Open Figure Skating tournament in Bangkok, Thailand.

Martinez wound up with a total score of 188.53 after tallying 72.14 in the short program and 116.39 in free skating program.

The 18-year-old Martinez beat Japanese competitor Keiji Tanaka, who came in second with a score of 182.70.

Tanaka placed higher in free skating with 121.06 points but Martinez fared better in the short program with the Japanese posting only 61.64 points.
