ABBY Arevalo drained a clutch six-foot putt for par on the last hole on Saturday to win the Lakewood Summer Championship via a countback over American Emily Lichty at Lakewood Club in California.
The 16-year-old Arevalo rebounded from a double-bogey 5 on the 17th to salvage a one-under-par 73 and win the event over the American because of her par putt on the final hole.

It was the second win for Arevalo in just over two weeks after the daughter of pro Tony Arevalo ruled the 54-hole Future Golf Champions event in Temecula by six shots over China’s Yu Cenhan.
Sofia Chabon, a member of the Southwoods Masters team that ruled the PAL Ladies Interclub for the fourth straight time earlier this year, was third after shooting a 74 with Sam Martirez shooting a 78 for fourth spot.
Bernice Olivares-Ilas dropped two shots in her last four holes to and checked in second in the 12-14 division with a 78.
