Kranj of Slovenia topped the 2015 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Prague Masters Finals, upending surprise finalist and giant killers Kolobrzeg of Poland, 18-11, at Wenceslas Square in Prague Sunday (Monday Manila time).

Behind Mensud Julevic’s 10 points, including three shots from beyond the arc, Kranj earned its spot in the World Tour Finals for the fourth time.

Kranj was the same team that eliminated Manila West in the quarterfinals of last year’s FIBA 3×3 World Tour Finals in Sendai, Japan.

Though defeated in the Finals, Kolobrzeg will still advance to the World Tour Finals together with Kranj, Manila Masters champs Novi Sad Al Wahda, and Manila North in the Abu Dhabi event slated on October.

It was a valiant effort from Kolobrzeg, led by Prague Masters MVP Szymon Rduch. The Polish squad stifled powerhouse Trbovlje of Slovenia, 16-12, in the quarterfinals, before edging Paris, 18-16 in the semis.

Defending Prague Masters titlists Novi Sad Al Wahda was dethroned in the quarterfinals after an upset win by Paris, 17-15.
