Eagles go for clean sweep vs Blazers

The Blue Eagles, who have so far dropped only a set, go for a perfect 5-0 card against the St. Benilde Blazers in the last match of the elimination round at 5 p.m.
“We’re not really in championship form yet, but we’re getting there,” said Ateneo coach Oliver Almadro, who’s banking on UAAP MVP Marck Espejo.
Article continues after this advertisementLa Salle and University of the Philippines, tied at 3-1 in Group B, dispute the No. 2 seat at 1 p.m., while National College of Business and Arts battles the eliminated University of the East in the Group A match at 3 p.m.
“There are still some things lacking, but we’re improving,” said La Salle coach Ronald Dulay.
Ateneo, La Salle, UP and St. Benilde round out the quarterfinalists in Group B, while unbeaten National University, Emilio Aguinaldo College, NCBA and Far Eastern University of Group A also gained slots in the next round.
