Lyceum snapped its five-game losing skid with a convincing 69-55 victory over Emilio Aguinaldo College to get its second win in the NCAA Season 91 men’s basketball tournament Thursday at San Juan Arena.

Coach Topex Robinson drew contributions from all over the roster, with Jean Nguidjol leading the pack with a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds, alongside two blocks.

Joseph Gabayni also ended his slump, registering 11 markers, nine boards, three assists, two steals, and a rejection, while Wilson Baltazar had 10 in the win.

“We tried to enjoy the process and not the results. It’s been tough for us and this is a good start to cap off our losses. We just kept on playing,” said Robinson.

The Pirates closed its first round with a 2-7 slate, tying the Generals and giving Robinson a much needed boost as they look to fare better after the All-Star break.

Francis Munsayac paced EAC with 15 points in the defeat.
