LGBA stag wars underway
GAMEFOWL breeders from Luzon will test their new battlestags in more than 75 fights today in the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) 7-Stag Derby series at Pasay City Cockpit.
The early favorites to rule the derby include 2014 LGBA Breeder of the Year Paolo Malvar, Mayor Nene Aguilar, Biboy Enriquez, Gerry Ramos, Honey Yu, Gerry Escalona, Arman Santos, Gov. Jayjay Suarez, Jorge Sales, Philip Chiongbian, Ricky Magtoto, Willard Ty, Jun Sevilla and Peping Cojuangco.
Supported by Sagupaan Complexor 3000, the LGBA stag series is a three-leg event that will culminate in the grand finals on Oct.12.
Article continues after this advertisementA P3-million guaranteed prize is at stake in the first leg, slated Aug. 14, 17, 21, 24 and Sept. 7, 11 and 14, said LGBA president Nick Crisostomo. Entry fee is P11,000.
Meanwhile, the Sagupaan Complexor 3000 8-Stag Derby fires off on Aug. 28 and 31 at PCC.
