Former three-division world champion Shane Mosley aims to prove he still has it by beating fellow old-timer Ricardo Mayorga in their rematch on Aug. 29 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Mosley (47-9-1, 39 KOs) is showing no signs of calling it a career at 43 years old and despite having lost five of his last nine fights.

“The fight is to prove I am back,” Mosley told reporters during his media workout at Barry’s Boxing Gym in Las Vegas as posted on boxingscene.com. “The goal is still to have rematches against Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez.”

The last time Mosley fought was two years ago in a loss to Anthony Mundine. The bout was stopped midway through the 12-rounder after Mosley quit due to back spasms.

“I took some time off to heal some nagging injuries that I had but I stayed in the gym and stayed in shape. I think I can fight another 3 to 4 years. I don’t know if I can go on until I’m 50 like Bernard (Hopkins) but I think I have a lot of fight left in me.”
