DGO tossers nail Shakey’s girls’ volley semis berth

Don Gerardo Llamera Ouano National High School (DGO) racked up three straight victories to clinch the first semifinal berth in Pool A while Southwestern U (SWU) paced Pool B with two wins in the Central Visayas leg of the Shakey’s Girls’ Volleyball League Season 13 at the Cebu City Sports Institute over the weekend.

DGO blasted University of Cebu (UCB), 25-14, 25-14; Paref Southcrest School (PSS), 25-14, 25-19; and St. Theresa’s College (STC), 25-12, 25-18.

University of San Carlos (USC) zeroed in on the other semifinal seat by besting STC, 25-10, 25-12, and Pajo National HS (PHS), 25-16, 24-26, 26-24, in Pool A.

SWU downed University of San Jose-Recoletos, 25-14, 20-25, 25-14, and USP Foundation, 25-20, 25-18, to lead Pool B.
