Reigning NCAA MVP Scottie Thompson will be a game-time decision for University of Perpetual Help on Tuesday as he is still recuperating from a high ankle sprain on his left foot.
Thompson hasn’t been able to fully participate in practice since his injury last Tuesday in a win over Emilio Aguinaldo College.
“It’s a high ankle sprain but it’s healing quickly,” Thompson said in Filipino on Monday during the 2015 Draft Suite at Maxims Hotel at Resorts World Manila.
“I’m still not sure if I will play tomorrow (Tuesday) because I haven’t had practice yet in the last five, six days.”
The Altas are currently in third place with a 6-2 record, just a game behind second-running the San Beda Red Lions and the Letran Knights.
But Perpetual Help is expected to face a tough opponent in Jose Rizal University, which is in fourth place, and having the all-around Thompson around despite the lack of training the past few days is better than not having him at all.
“We’ll see how my body feels tomorrow.” CFC
