ROY DOCYOGEN stakes his pinweight title against Saipan’s Jordan Ogo Saturday in the co-main event of the Colt 45-URCC XVII at the A. Venue Events Hall.
Though he hasn’t seen Ogo fight, Docyogen is confident he can continue his unbeaten streak in the URCC.
“As far as I know, I was able to prepare well for this fight,” said Docyogen, a member of the multi-titled Lakay Wushu team.
A total of 10 fights are on tap in the event dubbed as Havoc with Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Froilan Sarenas making his URCC debut against Iranian Razi Jabbari.
“I’m hoping to exceed expectations,” said the 29-year-old Sarenas, who fights out of Submission Sports Philippines.
Jabbari totes a 2-3 URCC record andis coming off a knockout loss to Tom Woodfin.
“After his last fight, Jabbari has been persistent in asking me for a match and he’ll get his opportunity again,” said URCC founder Alvin Aguilar during yesterday’s press launch at Yoshinoya restaurant in Makati.
