As the champions of the Philippines’ most-watched volleyball league, the Ateneo Blue Eagles are the prime targets of hunters wanting that upset.
Blue Eagles head coach Oliver Almadro said every team in the Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference is looking to bring them back to earth, and all they have to do is prepare every time down.
“The Lord is telling us to prepare,” Almadro said Wednesday at San Juan Arena after turning back NCAA Champion Emilio Aguinaldo College in four sets.

“Everyone is looking to beat the UAAP Champions.”
Ateneo’s stint in the Spikers’ Turf has been, at most, a walk in the park until they ran into the Generals who put up a decent fight.
Almadro said they have been the “anointed” in the offseason tournament with every team getting better once they face Ateneo.
“It was Lord’s will to make us the instrument to make the other teams better.” CFC
