Want LeBron James to tweet something about your company or product?
Well if you have $140,000 lying around, you can, but then again don’t expect the four-time NBA MVP to say yes.
According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, James has the highest value of any U.S athlete if Twitter followers are to be the basis.
James, as of posting time, has 23.2 million Twitter followers and online company Opendorse, as per Rovell, said each tweet from the King has a media value of $139,474.
Opendorse, as Rovell wrote, specializes in executing and monetizing digital and social media campaigns for athletes.
“We’re basically saying that the value of one LeBron tweet is worth $140,000,” said Opendorse CEO Blake Lawrence. “And with that, you will reach 23 million people. It would cost you five times more to reach that many people with a TV ad.”
James leads the five most expensive sports Twitter accounts with Kevin Durant at second ($66,553), Kobe Bryant third ($42,389), Floyd Mayweather Jr. at fourth ($34,024), and Dwight Howard at fifth ($34,290). CFC
