St. Benilde hotshot Jonathan Grey, who skipped the two-day 2015 Gatorade PBA Draft Combine, explained why he won’t be in the final list of Rookie Aspirants.

“Just to clear it, (the) reason I did not join the rookie camp was (because) I was declared ineligible for PBA Draft due to my lack of D-League experience,” Grey said in a tweet  (@AthanGrey14).

Starting this year, the PBA required all draftees to play in the developmental league for at least seven games in a conference for locals, and for seven games in two conferences for Fil-foreign applicants.

Grey was picked third in the second round of the 2014 PBA D-League Draft by Cagayan Valley, but did not suit up for any of the Rising Suns’ games this season.
