Bernard Hopkins may have reached the half-century mark but the future Hall of Famer is still not over and eyes one more fight before he hangs up the gloves for good.

In a report from BoxingScene.com, Hopkins wants WBO Super Middleweight Champion Athur Abraham as his final opponent.

“I’m not retired,” Hopkins, who was in attendance during the press conference for the fight between Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux, told BoxingScene.com.

“I want to make another historic achievement. I skipped over the super middleweight division. I went from 160 (pounds) straight to 175 and they said I was crazy. I see a guy out there in Arthur Abraham. He’s a big name and a very durable guy to fight.”

Hopkins is considered as one of the best middleweights of all time having unified the WBC, WBO, WBA, and The Ring middleweight titles.

BoxingScene.com added the fight is in the works and details will be released soon.

“That fight entices me so much,” Hopkins said. “The promotion will be based on coming to see the last of a dying breed in boxing. I want it to be promoted as that and not the cheesy way. Win, lose, or draw, I’m done after the fight. I think I’ve earned the right. I say I’m going to do it.”

Hopkins hopes for the fight to happen in Europe in January of 2016 to coincide with his 51st birthday.
