Tales have been told of the lore of Kevin Garnett.
From stories telling of his intensity to odes to his brutal attitude, yet Ricky Rubio put it simply.
“KG, he kills for you,” Rubio said Friday during his Take on Manila Tour press conference in Bonifacio Global City.
“That’s the kind of teammate you want.”
Rubio may have solidified the Big Ticket’s reputation on the court, but his perspective of Garnett off the court changes immediately.
As intense as Garnett is on the floor, the 2004 MVP is “not the guy in the basketball court.”
“He’s a teacher who has a lot knowledge,” Rubio said. “Everyday in the locker room with him is a lesson.”
Still, when Garnett came back to the Timberwolves in the near end of the 2015-2015 season Rubio admitted he was “a little afraid” of “one of the greatest ever.” CFC
