Spikers’ Turf: La Salle blasts Far Eastern U
De La Salle snuffed the life out of Far Eastern University in the final set for a 25-20, 27-25, 25-11 win to move closer to a semifinals stint in the Spikers’ League Collegiate Conference Monday at San Juan Arena.
Arjay Onia, Raymark Woo and Mike Anthony Frey combined for 45 points for the Green Archers, who bounced back from a 25-27, 22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-9 upset to newcomer National College of Business and Arts last week.
Onia led with 15 points, Woo 14 and Frey 11.
Article continues after this advertisementDe La Salle, which improved to no. 3 with a 3-2 slate, dominated the Tamaraws in all departments including blocks, 7-2, service aces, 10-2, and sets.
Ateneo and National University, both unbeaten at 5-0, have already secured seats the in the final four.
FEU skipper Gregorio Dolor had 15 points but had no solid help as the rest of the team combined for 20.
