Ceres-La Salle tackles Loyola Meralco Tuesday

League champion Ceres-La Salle collides with powerhouse Loyola Meralco Tuesday night in what is expected to be an explosive semifinal encounter in the 2015 UFL Cup at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. with Bacolod-based Ceres looking to stay on track of a double championship after its league conquest last month.

The Sparks who finished third in the league behind Ceres and Global have plenty of motivation as the Cup rewards an AFC Cup playoff berth.

Stallion and Kaya meet in the other semifinal pairing at 5:15 p.m.

Still in search for its first trophy since topping the league two years ago, Stallion goes into the Last Four duel on a high after convincing wins over Socceroo and Pachanga Diliman in the earlier rounds.

Kaya is also raring to make its first UFL Cup final after finishing fourth in the league this season. Coach Fabien Lewis’ charges showed their intent in the first two rounds of the knockout phase where they whipped Nomads and JP Voltes by a combined score of 18-1.

Tishan Hanley, the striker from St. Kitts and Nevis, has been in fine form for Kaya with seven goals in the last two matches. He has formed a solid combination with the fleet-footed OJ Porteria up front for Kaya.

Stallion also eased past its last two opponents with Pachanga bearing the brunt of its attack in a 5-0 demolition last Friday.

Ceres drubbed the Sparks in their two encounters in the league competition, but Loyola has picked up its game in the latter part of the season.
