Could Metta World Peace be on his way back to Lakerland?
In a report on Yahoo Sports, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking at the option of bringing back the 35-year-old forward on a one-year contract.
No deal has been agreed upon, but wheels are already turning for the Lakers for a possible reunion with the enigmatic World Peace.
Top dog Kobe Bryant is also reportedly positive in the possibility as the two helped the Lakers win their last championship back in 2010.
World Peace played for the Lakers from 2009 to 2013 before being amnestied and claimed by the New York Knicks. He suited up for 29 games there, where he
averaged 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds in 13.4 minutes before being waived on February 2014.
He has made rounds in the international scene after that, having short stints with the Sichuan Blue Whales in China and Pallacanestro Cantu in Italy.
World Peace has been reportedly working out in the team’s practice facility in the off-season together with sophomore Laker forward Julius Randle.
