No more foreign players in PBA D-League teams
Foreign players in the lineup of school squads have been barred from playing in the PBA D-League ahead of Wednesday’s opening of the Rookie Draft application for the tournament.
“We’ve seen the last of foreign players,” said tournament director Eric Castro. “Under our new guidelines, they will no longer be allowed to play for school-based teams effective next season.”
Foreigners with Filipino roots, however, can still suit up in the 2016 season starting with the Aspirants Cup in January.
