Ceres, Kaya forge UFL title duel
LEAGUE champion Ceres-La Salle moved on the cusp of a sweep of United Football League titles this season after nipping Loyola Meralco, 1-0, Tuesday night in the semifinals of the UFL Cup at Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Irish midfielder Orman Okunaiya rifled home a well-placed shot from the edge of the box in the 70th minute as the Bacolod powerhouse moved on to face Kaya in the finals set at 8:15 p.m. tomorrow.
Kaya rallied from two goals down in the second half before edging Stallion, 5-4, on penalties after regulation and extra time ended in a 3-3 stalemate.

“The team showed great commitment to the gameplan which we were able to execute until the end,” said Ceres coach Ali Go.
