Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao and rising NBA star Jordan Clarkson went head-to-head in a game of chess.
Playing chess is one of Pacquiao’s past times apart from shooting hoops.
The Fil-American Clarkson is in town to sign an endorsement deal with Smart Communications. But part of his trip is also to finalize details for a possible stint with Gilas Pilipinas.
Clarkson joined the national team in training Wednesday night and, as reported by the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Musong Castillo, will be going with Gilas to Taiwan for the Jones Cup. The Los Angeles Lakers guard, though, isn’t expected to suit up in that tournament.
Meanwhile, reports say Pacquiao may fight former two-time world champion Amir Khan next year.
