If there’s one thing Stephen Curry wants aside from winning another championship, it’s staying in Golden State for the rest of his career.
In an interview with The Charlotte Observer, the reigning league MVP was asked if he could see himself playing for another team.
And to the delight of the fans in the Bay Area, Curry simply responded, “I can’t.”
The Warriors signed Curry to a four-year $44 million in 2012 and the 27-year-old is on its way to a lucrative contract in 2016.
Curry hopes to join a select few players who played their entire careers with just one team.
“I know that not many players play their whole career for one team in one city,” he said. “I don’t see a better place to play.”
Only seven active players, who have played at least 10 years have remained with their current squads, namely Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Dwyane Wade, and Udonis Haslem.
