ELITE and so-called weekend duathletes take on a lung-busting course in the Bike King Duathlon on Sept. 27 at Alviera in Porac, Pampanga.
Raul Cuevas, head of event organizer Bike King, said a smooth but challenging terrain awaits racers in the grueling 6 km run-60 km bike-4 km run and the shorter 3 km run-20 km bike-2 km run distance.
The race fires off at 6 a.m. at Alviera’s sprawling grounds with the field taking the Floridablanca exit and back to Porac.
Cash prizes worth P20,000, medals and gift packs are up for grabs.
The SandBox at Alviera will host the awards rite and expo. Racers can also avail themselves of post-race recovery services from Sante Impact Systems (SIMS).
Online registration on BikeKingPhilippines.com. is open until Monday. Entry fee includes a timing chip, race bib, event shirt, the finisher’s medal and meal.
Participants can pick up their race kits on Sept. 26 at Fontana in Clark, Pampanga and at Alveo office at Bonifacio High Street in Taguig. Jasmine W. Payo
