Ateneo and National University gun for the top seed in the Final Four when the unbeaten leaders collide Monday in the Spikers’ Turf Collegiate Conference at Filoil Flying V Arena.
The Blue Eagles and the Bulldogs clash at 3 p.m. with the winner wrapping up its quarterfinal run with a 7-0 record.
“We can’t relax,” said Ateneo coach Oliver Almadro. “We really have to be prepared when we face NU. They’re going to be tough.”
Eliminated teams St. Benilde and Far Eastern U close out their bids in the 1 p.m. match
The Eagles will be led by UAAP MVP Marck Espejo, Rex Intal and Ish Polvorosa while the Bulldogs will rely on Bryan Bagunas, Ismail Fauzi, Madzlan Gampong and Francis Saura.
Only Ateneo and NU have secured Final Four berths, while idle La Salle, Emilio Aguinaldo College and NCBA fight for the last two slots in separate games this Wednesday. Jasmine W. Payo
