UAAP to stick with Brascu referees for Season 78
The UAAP is set to stick with the same pool of game officials for Season 78, the same pool the NCAA made a contract with for three seasons.
UAAP Commissioner Rebo Saguisag said Tuesday the league will enter an agreement with the Basketball Referees Association for Schools, Colleges, and Universities (Brascu) for the basketball tournament in Season 78.
“Brascu were contracted for this year and they’ve been with the NCAA for the last three years,” Saguisag said during the UAAP press conference at Gateway Mall in Cubao.

Brascu referees were under fire during Season 77 when former UP coach Rey Madrid accused the game officials when the Fighting Maroons lost 73-57 against University of Santo Tomas.
Saguisag said officiating miscues in the games would be properly addressed.
