Steph Curry, a two-time gold medalist as part of Team USA, gave the Philippine national men’s basketball team an advice as Gilas Pilipinas readies itself for the 2015 Fiba Asia Championship later in the month.

Curry, who is raring for another international stint after being invited to be part of the US pool for the 2016 Olympics, said Gilas Pilipinas should embrace the moment of wearing the country’s name in front of your jersey.

“Just go at it. Don’t leave anything. Don’t hold anything back. It’s an amazing opportunity,” the 27-year-old Curry said.

“Play it to the best of your ability. Show some heart to achieve your goals.”

The Philippine team is currently in Taipei competing in the 2015 Jones Cup before going for the lone Olympic berth in the Fiba Asia in China from Sept. 23 to Oct. 3.

After having his best season in the NBA following a championship and MVP, the Golden State Warriors guard said that apart from hopefully winning more championships, he aims to be a Hall-of-Famer when it’s all said and done.

“I wanna be a hall-of-famer and be someone that the people will remember for a long, long time.”
