Title-favorite Philippine Merchant Marine School got double-digit scoring from three players to frustrate arch-rival La Consolacion College-Manila, 73-68, to stretch its winning run to four games in the 7th Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association at LCC-M Gym in Manila.

Tournament-surprise Philippine Women’s University kept its amazing winning record as the Patriots ambushed Manila Tytana Colleges, 64-45 to share the lead with the Mariners.

Rock-solid Rocky Antonares and the hot-shooting Domark Matillano finished with 19 points apiece while burly playmaker Elvin Chan buried 15 markers as the Mariners survived the hard-fighting Blue Royals who got 20 points from the high-leaping Thurlough Grealy.

PATTS College of Aeronautics downed St. Dominic College of Asia, 71-66 in the second game.
