With Moala Tautuaa and Troy Rosario missing the cut for the 2015 Fiba Asia Championship-bound Gilas Pilipinas squad, the two rookies will now join their PBA club Talk ‘N Text for the Master Game Face MVP Cup to be held from September 11 to 13.

The young guns will banner the Talk ‘N Text squad which will be without Jayson Castro, Ranidel de Ocampo, and Matt Ganuelas-Rosser, who are all going to play with the national team.

But they won’t be without any help as Ryan Reyes, Larry Fonacier, Kelly Williams, Harvey Carey, and Danny Seigle will bring enough muscle to support the new Talk ‘N Text twin towers.

Gilas assistant coach Jong Uichico will still call the shots for the Tropang Texters in the pocket tournament.

“We’re excited to play all the teams,” said Talk ‘N Text assistant coach Nash Racela.

The Talk ‘N Text holdovers, meanwhile, are just excited to help Gilas alongside its new recruits.

“Mo and Troy will be big additions for us. Hopefully, we’ll be competitive against the teams,” said Carey.

Fonacier said, “We just want to be competitive and help Gilas as much as we can. We’ll give our best once we get on the floor.”

Racela also bucked the assumption that Talk ‘N Text will employ other recruits from the two other MVP group squads in the PBA.

“There will be no reinforcements for us. We’re just fortunate that Troy and Mo will be playing for us in this tournament,” he said.
