Terrence Romeo became the Gilas Pilipinas’ poster boy during the 2015 Jones Cup in Taiwan where he bedazzled opponents and fans alike.

Opposing big men such as Hamed Haddadi and Quincy Davis were put to the diminutive guard’s trickery while Taiwanese reporter Jenny Yu was put to Romeo’s basketball charm.

Romeo said he gave it his all for the tournament but he admitted he has yet to find another engine to power him in the Fiba Asia Championship.

“I think I gave it my 100 percent but now I need to add another 100 percent to that 100 percent as we move on,” Romeo said Wednesday at Meralco Gym after the Gilas practice.

“That’s what I’m figuring out right now.”

Romeo was an integral part of the Gilas silver medal-winning campaign in the Jones Cup until got sidelined with an ankle injury.

An injury, Romeo said, is limiting him even in practice.

“It’s slightly getting better but it’s much better if I will go to practice knowing it’s at 100 percent,” Romeo said. “It’s hard to practice knowing one part of your body is hurt, it might get aggravated.”

As he recovers, Romeo gave it to God to decide if he will get the “100 percent” he hopes for.
