Mayweather to earn $32M, Berto $4M from bout

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will earn at least $32 million against Andre Berto on Sunday (Manila time) in what’s expected to be his farewell fight.

ESPN’s Dan Rafael reported the approximate numbers from the Nevada Athletic Commissioner

It’s a big drop from the estimated $250 million he made against Manny Pacquiao last May but still getting that amount money fighting an opponent like Berto speaks of the level Mayweather is in.

Berto, who has lost three of his last six fights, is reportedly set to earn about $4 million.

Mayweather also doesn’t appear to be having a change of heart on his retirement plans on the eve of what he’s insisting to be his last bout, as per Bob Velin of Boxing Junkie.

“I’m not going to miss it at all. I want to be on the other side,” Mayweather said. “My ultimate goal is, hopefully we can find the next Floyd Mayweather. I want to be able to hang out and go to different hotels, and enjoy the events, and wear the T-shirts and the hats. I want to be able to do things like that.”
