Real Madrid to hold PH football clinics
Top Spanish Primera Liga squad Real Madrid will hold “rolling” football clinics in the country’s 16 regions this year through its cause-oriented foundation.
A memorandum of agreement between the Real Madrid Foundation and Pinoy Sports Foundation will be signed in Madrid Thursday by RMF vice president Enrique Sánchez and director of institutional relations and former star Emilio Butragueño as well as PSS chair and former Sen. Edgardo J. Angara and Alliance Global Inc. executive director Kevin L. Tan.
The ceremony will be attended by Philippine ambassador to Spain Carlos Salinas and Philippine Football Federation president Mariano “Nonong” Araneta.
“The clinics will bring the world’s most popular sport closer to more Filipino youths,” said Angara, who initiated the talks with the legendary Spanish club. Musong R. Castillo
