So battles old Viet rival Le in World Chess Cup

Super Grandmaster Wesley So takes on old rival Le Quang Liem of Vietnam in the 2015 World Chess Cup round of 32 Thursday night in Baku, Azerbaijan. The 24-year-old Le, the 2013 world blitz champion who bested Cavite-born So, now representing the United States, in the 2009 Asian Continental Chess Championships and drew the rest of their six official encounters, forged the showdown after nipping fellow GM Nikita Vitiugov of Russia in the tiebreaker of their round-of-64 match-up.  Roy Luarca
