Dortmund gets perfect 10th win, beats Krasnodar in Europa

GENEVA, Switzerland—Borussia Dortmund needed a stoppage-time goal for its 10th straight win to start the season, beating Krasnodar 2-1 in the Europa League on Thursday.

The Bundesliga leader’s winner was an unlikely diving header by South Korea defender Park Joo-Ho.

Another South Korean, Son Heung-min, was key to Tottenham’s 3-1 win after trailing early against Qarabag of Azerbaijan. Son scored twice in two minutes before halftime and Erik Lamela completed the win.

Napoli, a semifinalist last season, opened its group stage campaign by routing Bruges 5-0. Dries Mertens scored twice as the Italians raced to a three-goal lead inside 25 minutes.

Liverpool was held 1-1 at Bordeaux, after an 81st-minute goal from Brazilian Jussie canceled out Adam Lallana’s shot in the 65th.

On a night of late levelers, Ajax equalized in the 84th with a goal from Lasse Schone to draw 2-2 with visiting Celtic, who led twice.

Last season’s beaten finalist Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk left it even later, scoring in the 94th through Yevhen Seleznyov to draw 1-1 at home to Lazio.

Monaco earned its 1-1 draw at Anderlecht in the 85th when Lacina Traore canceled Guillaume Gillet’s 11th-minute opener.

Elsewhere among the 24 matches, Netherlands forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored twice in Schalke’s 3-0 win at APOEL and Marseille also won 3-0 away at Groningen

Molde defied a red card for Mohamed Elyounoussi to leave Istanbul with a 3-1 win against Fenerbahce, and Rapid Vienna beat visiting Villarreal 2-1.
