Cabiltes, Pascua, Diego suspended for NCAA scuffle
The NCAA has slapped a one-game suspension on University of Perpetual Help’s Niko Cabiltes and Emilio Aguinaldo College’s Raymund Pascua and Rico Diego for getting ejected after their on-court scuffle on Tuesday.
Cabiltes had a heated commotion with Pascua and Diego late in the Altas’ 89-59 beatdown of the Generals.
The league, however, has yet to issue a statement on the brawl that ensued at the parking lot outside Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan where heftier penalties are expected to be handed down.
As of posting, the NCAA management committee is still investigating the ugly scene that happened exactly a year after the infamous in-game fight involving EAC and Mapua at the same venue.
Upon league rules, an ejection from the game merits an automatic suspension.
