More effort needed from winless Falcons, says deputy Hizon

After five games into the 78th season of the UAAP, Adamson is yet again in a familiar space at the bottom of the standings.

While there are still nine games left in the Falcons’ elimination round assignment, their coaching staff admits that they are in a critical position.

“We’ve arrived at a critical junction,” assistant coach Vince Hizon said Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena after the Falcons dropped its fifth straight game. “We play in spurts then we have lapses.”

Adamson, which played without suspended head coach Mike Fermin, got wayside as defending champions National University went on a 75-54 mauling.

Hizon said the Falcons have to mature and put in more effort than what is asked of them.

“Are we giving every thing in the game or in practice? Are we doing extra work after practice?”

“We need more effort.”

Hizon added the more the Falcons play games, the more they can improve.

“Season’s not done yet, we’re just trying to get as good as we can.”
