Teenage ace Maia Balce downed Christine Patrimonio, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3, while top seen Clarice Patrimonio repulsed Edilyn Balanga, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) Saturday to arrange a women’s singles final duel in the Philippine Columbian Association-Cebuana Lhuillier Open tennis championship.

In making her first PCA Open final in the morning semifinals, the 17-year-old Balce also put a wrench on the anticipated all-Patrimonio final.

Clarice made the finals for a third time and is looking for her first crown after losing the crown to four-time champ Marian Capadocia in 2011 and 2013.
